Burchielle boat deposit

The construction of the burchielle boat deposit dates back to the 1920s.

It is a building in brick situated between the Bova 1 and the Camillone salt pan close to the Circuit Canal. It served as a storage area for the Burchielle boats during the winter period, when the salt pan was not in operation. It was equipped with a system of cranes that positioned the iron burchielle boats on the trolleys that ran on tracks. It fell into disuse with the transformation of production and is currently in a state of disrepair. The hoisting system of the burchielle boats is still visible.
